You can connect a TikTok account on any plan. It counts as one of your plan’s social accounts. See Which social accounts can I connect? Each TikTok account you connect is one social account. To post to two TikTok accounts, connect each one on its own.

What you need first

  • A TikTok account you can log in to.
  • If you use more than one TikTok account, know which one is logged in to TikTok in this browser. The login window uses that one.

Connect your account

1

Open the networks

Click Accounts in the sidebar, then Add Social Accounts. Click the TikTok tile.
2

Log in to TikTok

A TikTok window opens. Log in to the account you want to post to and allow access. If no window opens, your browser blocked the pop-up. See The login window didn’t open.
3

Add the account

Back in PublishBuddy, a window lists your TikTok account by its display name. Click Connect next to it. The button changes to Connected. Then click Done.

What you’ll see

A message confirms it, like “1 TikTok account added”. PublishBuddy takes you back to Accounts, and your TikTok account shows up in the list.

When you post to TikTok

Each time you pick a TikTok account in the post window, PublishBuddy checks that account’s current settings with TikTok. If your TikTok settings turn off comments, Duet or Stitch, you can’t turn on the matching option (Add Comment, Duet or Stitch) in PublishBuddy either. Change the setting in TikTok to use it. TikTok posts need a video or images. See Post types for each network.

Common problems

The window used the account that’s logged in to TikTok in your browser. Log out of TikTok in another tab, log in to the right account, then connect again. To get rid of the wrong one, see Remove a social account.
The account is already connected in this workspace, or you didn’t allow access in the TikTok window. Check Accounts first. If it isn’t there, connect again and allow everything TikTok asks for.
TikTok ended PublishBuddy’s access. Reconnect the account with the same TikTok login.
