What you see

You try to add something, and a message pops up that ends in “allowed only. Please upgrade your plan.” It shows when you click Connect on an account, create a workspace, invite someone or save a post. These are the messages, with the Free plan’s numbers:

Why it happens

You’ve reached a limit of your plan. The number in the message is your plan’s limit. A few things to know:
  • Social accounts count across all your workspaces, not each one.
  • Every connected account counts, including ones that show Locked.
  • On a team, the owner’s plan sets the limits. If you’re a team member, ask the workspace owner.
Locked accounts. When a plan changes to a smaller one, the newest accounts over the limit get locked. They show Locked on Accounts, and you can’t open them. They work again when the limit goes back up.

How to fix it

1

Make room

Remove a social account you don’t use, or delete drafts you don’t need.Removing an account deletes its planned posts and history in PublishBuddy. You can’t undo it.
2

Or add more social accounts

On Pro and Business, you can buy extra social accounts on top of your plan. See Plans, the free trial and AI credits.
3

Or upgrade

Move to a bigger plan to raise every limit. Compare them in What each plan includes.
4

Try again

Go back and do what you were doing before. The message won’t show while you’re under the limit.

When to email us
