Plans: Pro and Business, and the free trial. You pick library files from the Media Library page itself. Select what you want, and PublishBuddy opens a new post with those files already attached.

Start a post from the library

1

Open the Media Library

Click Media Library in the menu on the left. Open a folder if your files are in one.
2

Select your files

Click each image or video you want. A Manage Media bar appears at the bottom with the number of items selected.
3

Click Use Media

The Create Post window opens with your files attached. Write your text, pick your social accounts and schedule it as usual.
For a single file, you can skip selecting. Click the three dots on the file and choose Use Media for Post. The files appear in the order you clicked them. A post can have up to 8 files, and a Reel or Story takes just one. Some networks allow fewer. See How big can my files be?

Adding media while you write a post

Inside the Create Post window, the Add media icon in the toolbar opens the Attach Media window. It’s for adding new files: from your computer, from a link, or from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Unsplash. It doesn’t show your library. So if the file is already in your library, start the post from the Media Library as shown above. Or add it there first, then use it. You can also drop files on the box in the composer, or paste an image or video straight into the text box.

Uploads from the composer go to your library

Every file you add in the composer is also saved to the Media Library. It lands at the top level, not in a folder. Next time, you can start a post from it without uploading it again. On the Free plan, uploading media to a post works as normal. You just can’t open the Media Library to see or reuse those files. See Upload photos and videos.

Bulk upload: one post per file

In bulk upload, open the bulk menu (the layers icon) and choose Upload Media. Each file you add becomes its own post card, ready for text and a time. This uses the same Attach Media window as the composer, so it takes new files and imports, not library files. See Bulk upload posts.

AI Studio: library files as references

AI Studio is the one place with a library picker. Under Reference files, click Pick from media library. Choose your files, open folders if you need to, then click Add. What AI Studio makes is saved to your Media Library too, in a folder called AI Studio. See AI Studio: images and video.

Changing a library file later

Each post keeps the files it was made with. Moving a file to another folder, or removing it from the library, doesn’t change posts that already use it.
