- Profile: your personal LinkedIn profile. Posts go out as you.
- Company Page: a LinkedIn page for a business. Posts go out as the page.
What you need first
- For a profile: your LinkedIn login.
- For a company page: you need to be an admin of the page on LinkedIn, with full admin rights. LinkedIn calls this role Super admin. Someone who only posts for the page may not see it in PublishBuddy.
Connect LinkedIn
1
Open the networks
Click Accounts in the sidebar, then Add Social Accounts. Click the LinkedIn tile.
2
Choose Company Page or Profile
A window asks you to pick one. Company Page is picked for you. Select Profile instead if you want your personal profile. Click Continue.
3
Log in to LinkedIn
A LinkedIn window opens. Log in with your own LinkedIn account and allow access. Use your own login even for a company page. LinkedIn works out which pages you admin. If no window opens, your browser blocked the pop-up. See The login window didn’t open.
4
Add the profile or page
Back in PublishBuddy, a window lists what you can add. Click Connect next to it. The button changes to Connected. Then click Done.
What you’ll see
A message confirms it, like “1 LinkedIn page added”. PublishBuddy takes you back to Accounts, where the profile or page now shows up under LinkedIn.If you admin more than one company page
Right now PublishBuddy only offers one company page each time you connect. It’s the first page LinkedIn sends back for your login. You can’t pick a different one from the list. If the page you want isn’t the one offered, see Only one LinkedIn company page shows up.If you don’t admin any company page
Choose Company Page without admin rights on a page, and your personal profile shows up instead. Don’t connect it by mistake if you wanted a page. Ask a Super admin of the page to give you that role on LinkedIn, then connect again.Common problems
A missing data message after you log in
A missing data message after you log in
The message says “please ensure you enable all permissions and try again.” It means what LinkedIn sent back is already connected in this workspace. Look for it on Accounts. If it isn’t there, connect again and allow everything LinkedIn asks for.
The account needs to be reconnected
The account needs to be reconnected
LinkedIn ends access to apps from time to time. Reconnect the account with the same LinkedIn login. You won’t be asked to pick Company Page or Profile again.
A "Failed to connect" message right after you click Continue

This usually means your browser blocked the login window. Allow pop-ups for app.publishbuddy.com and try again. See The login window didn’t open.
