What you see

You see one of these. When you click Connect or Reconnect on a Page: “Facebook hasn’t given PublishBuddy access to this Page. In Facebook, go to Settings, then Business integrations, open PublishBuddy, tick this Page, and reconnect.” After the Facebook login: your Page isn’t in the list. Or a window called Missing Facebook Data opens: “We didn’t receive any data from Facebook, please ensure you enable all permissions and try again.” Also possible:
  • “Your Facebook session has expired. Reconnect Facebook and try again.”
  • “You didn’t grant all required permissions, some areas of the app will be unavailable.”

Why it happens

  • The Page wasn’t shared. During the Facebook login, Facebook asks which Pages PublishBuddy can use. A Page you didn’t tick is left out.
  • Facebook removed the Page from PublishBuddy’s access. The Page shows in the list, but Facebook won’t let PublishBuddy use it. That’s the “Business integrations” message.
  • You don’t manage the Page. The Facebook login you use needs a role on the Page that lets it post.
  • It’s a personal profile. PublishBuddy can only connect Facebook Pages.
  • A permission was switched off in the Facebook window.
  • The Facebook login timed out before you finished connecting.
  • The Page is already connected. Pages already in this workspace don’t show in the list again.

How to fix it

1

For the Business integrations message, do what it says

In Facebook, open the Business integrations settings. Open PublishBuddy, tick the Page and save. The steps are in the message itself.
2

Log in to Facebook again

On Accounts, click Add Social Accounts, then Facebook. Choose Page and click Continue. For a Page that’s already connected, use Reconnect in its ⋯ menu instead. Reconnect All does every Facebook Page in one go.
3

Tick every Page you want

When Facebook asks which Pages to share, tick them all. Keep every permission switched on.If the Page isn’t ticked, a reconnect does nothing.
4

Connect the Page

Click Connect next to it, then Done.
Got “Your Facebook session has expired”? Just start again from Add Social Accounts or Reconnect. It only means the login took too long.
