# "3 social profiles allowed only. Please upgrade your plan."

> What the "allowed only" messages mean, the limit on each plan, and how to make room or raise the limit.

## What you see

You try to add something, and a message pops up that ends in "allowed only. Please upgrade your plan." It shows when you click **Connect** on an account, create a workspace, invite someone or save a post.

These are the messages, with the Free plan's numbers:

| Message | When you see it |
| - | - |
| "3 social profiles allowed only. Please upgrade your plan." | Connecting a social account |
| "0 team members allowed only. Please upgrade your plan." | Inviting a team member |
| "1 workspaces allowed only. Please upgrade your plan." | Creating a workspace |
| "10 scheduled posts allowed only. Please upgrade your plan." | Scheduling or queueing a post |
| "20 draft posts allowed only. Please upgrade your plan." | Saving a draft |

## Why it happens

You've reached a limit of your plan. The number in the message is your plan's limit.

| | Free | Pro | Business |
| - | - | - | - |
| Social accounts | 3 | 10 | 20 |
| Team members, per workspace | none | 5 | 15 |
| Workspaces | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Scheduled posts, per social account | 10 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Drafts, per workspace | 20 | Unlimited | Unlimited |

A few things to know:

* **Social accounts count across all your workspaces**, not each one.
* **Every connected account counts**, including ones that show **Locked**.
* **On a team, the owner's plan sets the limits.** If you're a team member, ask the workspace owner.

**Locked accounts.** When a plan changes to a smaller one, the newest accounts over the limit get locked. They show **Locked** on **Accounts**, and you can't open them. They work again when the limit goes back up.

## How to fix it

<Steps>
  <Step title="Make room">
    Remove a social account you don't use, or delete drafts you don't need.

    Removing an account deletes its planned posts and history in PublishBuddy. You can't undo it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Or add more social accounts">
    On Pro and Business, you can buy extra social accounts on top of your plan. See [Plans, the free trial and AI credits](/help/plans-trial-and-credits).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Or upgrade">
    Move to a bigger plan to raise every limit. Compare them in [What each plan includes](/help/limits/plans-compared).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Try again">
    Go back and do what you were doing before. The message won't show while you're under the limit.
  </Step>
</Steps>
