# How do I post a Facebook Reel or Story, or add a button?

> Schedule Facebook Page posts, Reels and Stories, and add a call-to-action button like Shop Now or Call Now.

PublishBuddy posts to Facebook Pages. You can schedule regular posts, Reels and Stories. On regular posts you can also add a call-to-action button. If you haven't connected your Page yet, see [Connect a Facebook Page](/help/connect/facebook).

## Regular posts

Leave the type on **Post**. A Facebook post can be:

* text only
* text with a link, which shows a link preview
* one or more images
* one video

You can't mix photos and a video in one Facebook post. Use photos only, or a single video.

When your text has a link, the composer shows a preview of it. To show an image or video instead, click **Replace link attachment with image or video**.

On a video, you can add a **Thumbnail**. For Facebook it must be a JPG or PNG up to 10 MB.

## Post a Reel

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick Reel">
    Click **New Post**, pick your Facebook Page under **Accounts**, then click **Reel** at the top.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add one video">
    A Reel takes exactly one video. The upload box only offers video files.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Write the caption">
    Your text goes out as the Reel's description.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Schedule it">
    Pick a time, or add it to your queue.
  </Step>
</Steps>

A **Thumbnail** on a Facebook Reel isn't used. To use your own thumbnail, post the video as **Post** instead.

## Post a Story

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick Story">
    In the composer, pick your Facebook Page, then click **Story** at the top.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add one image or video">
    A Story takes exactly one file.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Schedule it">
    There's no text box. Pick a time, or add it to your queue.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Stories go out without a caption, a button or follow-up comments. See [Posts, Reels and Stories](/help/posts/post-types) for everything that changes.

## Add a call-to-action button

A button sits under your post on Facebook, like **Shop Now** or **Call Now**. It's only available for **Post**, not Reels or Stories.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open your Page's options">
    In the composer, pick your Facebook Page. If you picked several accounts, click the Page's avatar above the text box.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Turn on Add a button">
    Below the text box, switch on **Add a button**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a type">
    Choose the button from **Type**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the link">
    Enter the web address the button opens in **Link**. For **Call Now**, fill in **Phone** too. The button calls that number.
  </Step>
</Steps>

These are the button types you can pick:

| | | |
| - | - | - |
| **Apply Now** | **Book Now** | **Buy Now** |
| **Buy Tickets** | **Call Now** | **Contact Us** |
| **Donate Now** | **Download** | **Get Quote** |
| **Install App** | **Learn More** | **Listen Now** |
| **Order Now** | **Play Game** | **Send Message** |
| **Shop Now** | **Sign Up** | **Subscribe** |
| **Use App** | **Watch More** | **Watch Video** |

**No Button** is the default. Pick it, or switch **Add a button** off, to post without one.

<Warning>
  Right now the button is only added to text and link posts. A post with images or a video goes out without it. **Send Message** also shows a **Message** box, but that text isn't sent to Facebook yet.
</Warning>

## Follow-up comments on Facebook

On Pro and Business, you can add follow-up comments to a Facebook post or Reel. On Facebook, each comment can have text and one image or video. See [Add a follow-up comment](/help/posts/follow-up-comments).
