# How do I import media from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Unsplash or a link?

> Bring images and videos into PublishBuddy straight from your cloud storage, from Unsplash's free photos, or from an image link.

**Plans:** Pro and Business for the Media Library. The same import buttons also work in the post composer on every plan.

You don't have to download a file to your computer first. PublishBuddy can pull it in from Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or Unsplash, or from a link to an image.

## Where to find the import buttons

Open the **Attach Media** window. You can get to it in three places:

* **Media Library**: click **Add Media**.
* **Create Post**: click the **Add media** icon in the composer's toolbar.
* **Bulk upload**: open the bulk menu (the layers icon) and choose **Upload Media**.

Under the upload box is **Upload From External URLs**. Below that, **Import From** has four buttons: **Drive**, **Dropbox**, **OneDrive** and **Unsplash**.

Imported files show up in the window's list, just like files from your computer. Wait for each one to finish, then click **Upload**.

## Google Drive

<Steps>
  <Step title="Click Drive">
    A Google window opens and asks you to pick an account. The first time, Google asks you to let PublishBuddy see the files you choose.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick your files">
    Google's file picker shows your images and videos. Select one or more, then confirm in the picker.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Upload">
    The files appear in the **Attach Media** list. When they've finished, click **Upload**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

PublishBuddy only gets access to the files you pick, not your whole Drive.

## Dropbox

Click **Dropbox**. Dropbox's chooser opens, where you can sign in and select files. You can pick several at once.

Only PNG, JPG and MP4 files can be picked from Dropbox. For other formats, download the file and upload it from your computer.

## OneDrive

Click **OneDrive** and sign in with your Microsoft account. Then pick your photos and videos in the OneDrive window.

OneDrive import works with personal Microsoft accounts. Work or school accounts (OneDrive for Business) can't sign in here. Download those files and upload them instead.

## Unsplash

Unsplash is a library of free stock photos.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Click Unsplash">
    The **Select Media** window opens with a page of photos.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Search and pick">
    Type in the search box to find photos. Scroll down to load more. Click each photo you want, so it shows a tick.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Use Media">
    The photos are added to the **Attach Media** list. Click **Upload** when they're done.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Unsplash gives photos only, no videos. PublishBuddy imports a version that's 1,080 pixels wide.

Unsplash photos are free to use under the Unsplash License. PublishBuddy doesn't add the photographer's name, so add a credit in your caption if you'd like to give one.

## Paste an image link

Paste one or more links into **Upload From External URLs**, one per line. Shortly after you stop typing, PublishBuddy fetches each image and adds it to the list.

The link has to point straight at an image file that ends in `.jpg`, `.jpeg`, `.png`, `.gif` or `.webp`. Anyone must be able to open it without a login.

If nothing happens after a few seconds, the link isn't a direct image link. Open it in your browser, right-click the image, and copy the image address instead.

Links to videos or web pages don't work here. Download the video and upload it from your computer.

## If the sign-in window doesn't open

Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive open in a pop-up window. If your browser blocks pop-ups, nothing seems to happen when you click. Allow pop-ups for app.publishbuddy.com and try again. See [The login window didn't open](/help/troubleshooting/popup-blocked).
