# Connect a Facebook Page

> Add the Facebook Pages you manage to PublishBuddy. Personal Facebook profiles can't be connected.

You can connect Facebook Pages on any plan. Each Page counts as one of your plan's social accounts. See [Which social accounts can I connect?](/help/connect-accounts)

  PublishBuddy posts to **Facebook Pages** only. A personal Facebook profile can't be connected. Facebook doesn't let apps post to personal profiles.

## What you need first

* A Facebook Page. If you only have a personal profile, create a Page in Facebook first.
* A Facebook login that manages the Page. You log in as yourself, and Facebook shows PublishBuddy the Pages you can manage.

## Connect your Pages

  <Step title="Open the networks">
    Click **Accounts** in the sidebar, then **Add Social Accounts**. Click the **Facebook** tile.

  <Step title="Keep Page selected">
    A window asks you to pick an option. Leave **Page** selected and click **Continue**.

  <Step title="Log in to Facebook">
    A Facebook window opens. Log in with the account that manages your Pages.

    Facebook may ask which Pages PublishBuddy can use. Tick every Page you want in PublishBuddy, now or later. Keep every permission it asks for turned on.

    If no window opens, your browser blocked the pop-up. See [The login window didn't open](/help/troubleshooting/popup-blocked).

  <Step title="Add your Pages">
    Back in PublishBuddy, a window says "Choose which Facebook pages to add." It lists your Pages. Use the search box if you have a lot of them.

    Click **Connect** next to each Page you want. The button changes to **Connected**. Then click **Done**.

<Note>
  Clicking **Connected** again removes that Page straight away, with no question first. If you click it by mistake, click **Connect** to add the Page back.

## What you'll see

A message confirms it, like "2 Facebook pages added". PublishBuddy takes you back to **Accounts**, where each Page shows up under Facebook.

The list only shows Pages that aren't in your workspace yet. A Page you already connected won't appear in it again.

## Common problems

  <Accordion title="You didn't grant all required permissions, some areas of the app will be unavailable.">
    You turned off a permission in the Facebook window. Connect again and keep every permission on.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Missing Facebook Data">
    The full message is "We didn't receive any data from Facebook, please ensure you enable all permissions and try again." No new Page came back. The usual causes:

    * You only have a personal profile, not a Page.
    * You didn't tick the Page when Facebook asked which Pages to share.
    * Every Page you shared is already connected.

  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Facebook hasn't given PublishBuddy access to this Page.">
    The message goes on: "In Facebook, go to Settings, then Business integrations, open PublishBuddy, tick this Page, and reconnect." Do that, then [reconnect the Page](/help/connect/reconnect).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Your Facebook session has expired. Reconnect Facebook and try again.">
    Facebook ended the login. [Reconnect the Page](/help/connect/reconnect). To fix every Page at once, use **Reconnect All**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="This social profile already exists in another workspace.">
    A Page can only be in one workspace at a time. Remove it from the other workspace first, then connect it here.
  </Accordion>

## Instagram

Connecting a Facebook Page doesn't connect the Instagram account linked to it. Add Instagram on its own. See [Connect an Instagram account](/help/connect/instagram).
