# Connect your social accounts

> Add your social accounts to a workspace network by network, and reconnect one when it stops posting.

Every post goes out through a connected social account. Connect each one once and it stays in your workspace until you remove it.

Facebook and Instagram have their own rules. They're covered in [Connect Facebook and Instagram](/help/connect-facebook-instagram).

## How many accounts you can connect

Each Page, profile or channel you connect counts as one social account.

| Plan | Social accounts |
| - | - |
| Free | 3 |
| Pro | 10 |
| Business | 20 |

On Pro and Business you can add more for \$5 a month (or \$48 a year) each. See [Plans, the free trial and AI credits](/help/plans-trial-and-credits). The limit covers all the workspaces you own, not each one. Go over it and you'll see "3 social profiles allowed only. Please upgrade your plan." (with your plan's number).

<Note>
  The workspace owner can connect accounts. So can an admin, if the owner turned on **Allow the admin to add or remove social accounts** for them. Editors can't.
</Note>

## Connect an account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Accounts">
    Click **Accounts** in the sidebar, then **Add Social Accounts**. On a phone the button says **Add New**. The **Connect a new social account** screen opens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a network">
    Click the network's tile. Some networks ask a question first, like LinkedIn's **Company Page** or **Profile**. The notes below cover each one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log in">
    A login window opens for that network. Log in and allow access. If no window appears, your browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for app.publishbuddy.com and try again.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the account">
    Back in PublishBuddy, click **Connect** next to each account you want. The button changes to **Connected**. Click **Done** when you're finished, or **Connect another network** to keep going.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Notes for each network

  <Accordion title="LinkedIn">
    Choose **Company Page** (the default) or **Profile**, then click **Continue**.

    For a Company Page, you need to be an admin of the page on LinkedIn. PublishBuddy shows the first company page LinkedIn returns for you. If you don't admin any page, your personal profile shows up instead.

  <Accordion title="X, TikTok and Threads">
    Log in to the account you want to post to. That account is the one that shows up in the list.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="YouTube">
    Sign in with the Google account that owns your channel. If that account has no channel, you'll see "No YouTube channels found on this account."
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Pinterest">

  <Accordion title="Bluesky">
    Bluesky doesn't use a login window. You type your details in PublishBuddy instead.

    1. Enter your **Username**, like `username.bsky.social`, without the @.
    2. In **Password**, paste an app password, not your account password. Click **Generate app password in Bluesky** to make one in Bluesky's settings.
    3. Click **Continue**, then **Connect** next to your account.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Telegram">
    You can connect a Telegram channel you run. The **Connect Telegram** window has three steps.

    2. Click **Confirm with Telegram**. In Telegram, press **Start**, then **Link my account**. The PublishBuddy window updates by itself and shows "Confirmed as" with your Telegram name. You only do this once.
    3. Pick your channel from the list. If it isn't there, type its username: the part after `t.me/` in the channel's link. For a private channel, paste its invite link.

    Then click **Add**.

## Reconnect an account

Networks sometimes end PublishBuddy's access to an account. When that happens, a red warning shows next to the account on **Accounts**. Hover over it and you'll see "This social profile needs to be reconnected." Posts to that account fail until you reconnect it.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the account's menu">
    On **Accounts**, click the **⋯** menu next to the account.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Reconnect">
    For Facebook, **Reconnect All** reconnects every Facebook Page in one go.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Log in with the same account">
    Use the login that owns the account. A different login stops with "Make sure you are logged into the correct account before reconnecting."
  </Step>
</Steps>

You'll see "The profile has been successfully reconnected."

On a team? When an admin or editor reconnects, they fix their own connection to the account. That only helps if they're set to **Use Member's Account Connection**. If the account posts through the owner's connection, the owner has to reconnect it. See [Invite your team and set roles](/help/team-members-and-roles#account-connection-for-each-account).

You can also reconnect from the account's **Settings** page, under **Reauthorize Connection**.

<Tip>
  Want a heads-up next time? Click your avatar, choose **Settings** and open **Email Notifications**. Turn on this one: "Send me an email when a connected social account needs to be reconnected."
</Tip>

## Remove an account

Click the **⋯** menu next to the account and choose **Remove Account**, then **Remove**.

<Warning>
  Removing an account deletes its planned posts, analytics and history in PublishBuddy. You can't undo it.
</Warning>
