# How do I export my analytics as a PDF?

> Make a PDF report of one social account's analytics, what's in it, and how you get it.

**Plans:** Business, and the 14-day free trial.

**Export To PDF** turns one account's analytics into a PDF you can send to a client or your boss. It covers the account and period you have picked on the **Analytics** page.

## Export a report

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Analytics and pick the account">
    Click **Analytics** in the sidebar, then the account on the left. A report covers one account. For several accounts, export one report each.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick the time period">
    Choose it from the menu at the top, like **Last 30 Days** or **Previous Month**. The report covers that period.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Export To PDF">
    You'll see "Your analytics report is being generated. You will be notified when it is ready." You can leave the page while it works.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the report">
    When it's done, you get an email called "Your report is ready". Click **View report** in it. The same message shows under the bell at the top of the app. Click it to open the PDF.
  </Step>
</Steps>

The file is named `analytics-report-` followed by a code and the date, like `analytics-report-…-2026-10-19.pdf`.

## What's in the report

1. **A cover line** with the account's name, picture and the dates covered.
2. **The totals**: **New Followers**, **Likes**, **Reach**, **Engagements** and **Posts**, each compared with the period before.
3. **The charts**:
   * **Gender** and **Age**, when the account has them.
   * **Top Countries** and **Top Cities**.
   * **Followers**, **Likes**, **Post Engagement** and **Post Reach**.
   * **Link Clicks** and **Video Views**.
4. **Best Times To Post**, **Recommendations** and **Hashtag Performance**.
5. **Posts**: the account's posts from the period, newest first, 10 to a page. Each shows **Reactions**, **Comments**, **Shares**, **Reach** and **Engagement Rate**.

A chart with nothing to show says **No Data**. A section with nothing to list says "No data available".

**Good to know:**

* A report lists up to 500 posts. If the account posted more in the period, the oldest ones are left out. Pick a shorter period to get them all.
* The **Posts Per Day** chart isn't in the report.
* For a Facebook Page, the report says **Likes** where the page says **Reactions**. It's the same number: every reaction type.
* The report shows the same numbers as the page, so the same gaps apply. See [Which analytics each network gives](/help/analytics/metrics-by-network).

## Messages you might see

| Message | What it means |
| - | - |
| "An analytics report is already being generated for this profile." | You already asked for a report for this account. Wait for it to arrive. After 5 minutes you can ask again. |
| "This action is unauthorized." | You don't have access to this account. Ask the workspace owner. |

## Who can export

Anyone who can see the account on the **Analytics** page can export it, editors included. The report goes to the person who clicked. The email always comes, whatever your email settings say.

To get a report on a schedule instead, see [Scheduled email reports](/help/analytics/scheduled-reports).

If no report arrives within an hour, email [hello@publishbuddy.com](mailto:hello@publishbuddy.com) with the account name and the period you picked.
