# How do I make a carousel with AI?

> Ask the AI Agent for a carousel: it writes the slides, you check them, and it turns them into a draft post with images in your brand's colors.

**Plans:** Pro and Business, and the free trial.

A carousel is a post with several slides people swipe through. PublishBuddy's AI writes the text for each slide, then turns the slides into images in your brand's colors.

Right now you make carousels through the **AI Agent**. AI Studio doesn't offer carousels at the moment.

## Make a carousel

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Agent and pick your accounts">
    Click **Agent** in the sidebar. At the top, click the avatars of the accounts the carousel is for.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Ask for a carousel">
    Say what it's about, like "Make a carousel with 5 tips for first-time home buyers". You can name a layout or a number of slides too.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the price and confirm">
    A card asks "Draft this carousel?" It shows the topic and the credits it costs, next to your balance. Click **Confirm**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the slides">
    The draft shows as a card called **Carousel draft**, with each slide's text numbered.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Make it a post">
    The Agent turns the slides into images and writes a caption from them. It saves one draft post for each account you picked.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the draft">
    When the images are ready, click **Open the draft** to check it in the composer. Then schedule it like any other post.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What it costs

| Step | Credits |
| - | - |
| Writing a draft with 2 to 5 slides | 4 |
| Writing a draft with 6 to 8 slides | 5 |
| Turning the slides into images and a draft post | Free |

The card always shows the price before you confirm. See [How AI credits work](/help/ai/ai-credits).

## Slides and layouts

A carousel has 2 to 8 slides. If you don't say, you get 6.

There are six layouts. If you don't pick one, you get **List / Tips**.

* **List / Tips**
* **Bold Statement**
* **Quote**
* **Step-by-step**
* **Hook + Reveal**
* **Title + Content + CTA**

In most layouts, each slide has a headline and body text, and there's room for a call to action. The **Quote** layout shows just the quote.

## Your brand on the slides

If the account has a [Brand Kit](/help/ai/brand-kits), the slides use it. That covers the colors, the font and the logo, and the text is written in the kit's voice.

Without a Brand Kit, the slides use PublishBuddy's default colors.

## Change the slides

The Agent can't edit one slide of a draft. When you click **Change a slide** and say what you want, it writes a new draft. That shows a new card with a new price.

If only the caption needs work, make the post first and edit the caption in the composer. The words on the slides can't be changed there.

## Where carousels are saved

* The slide images go in the **AI Studio** folder of your **Media Library**.
* The draft post is under **Posts**, in **Drafts**.

<Warning>
  A carousel draft lasts 72 hours. Click **Make it a post** before then, or the draft is deleted and the credits aren't refunded.
</Warning>
